More on lighting... (and cider!)

Another example of how lighting can change a picture...

There's a cider mill about 30 minutes south of the KC area - great fresh apple cider, various preserves, and fresh cider donuts. ^_- And it's become a tradition of mine to go down there on Super Bowl Sunday, as my way of 'opting out' of the whole hullabaloo.

So this weekend, here's what the mill looked like when I got there:

Kinda grey and faded, almost washed-out, ne? Probably because it wasn't getting much sun; this is what the sky looked like in the other direction.

However, by the time I got out, the clouds had shifted, letting the sun shine through...

Big improvement, isn't it? :)

Neat!

I love fresh apple cider and fresh apple cider doughnuts. Joe's folks live in upstate NY and he grew up down the road from a bona fide apple orchard. This makes Joe something of an apple and apple cider snob. (He isn't really into the doughnuts that I've noticed, but I like them.) *g*

Louisiana has some great eats, but this is not the place for fresh apple cider.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. It's sad when places go.

I've never even heard of cherry cider before, but it sounds amazing.
