Not Mars, really!

This is part of the southwestern desert between Colorado and Las Vegas. And while I suppose the bluffs might be taken as wind erosion, the rilles at left definitely aren't. :)

Sure looks reddish, though, doesn't it?

Wow! I would almost have taken that for a shot of Mars. Can you tell I've never been anywhere near Colorado? :p That's some spectacular.

I think it may have actually been northwestern New Mexico or, most likely, northern Arizona; the mountainous areas in Colorado tend to be either snowy or filled with evergreens. But it's hard to say; I was pretty sure where the Rocky Mountains ended, and where the Grand Canyon started, but not really familiar with any landmarks in between.
