I have very mixed reactions to microcars. All too many of them just come across as bland to me; just dull. (See another pic below the cut.) But some are just quirky enough to really tickle my interest. :) Case in point; this one is pretty minimalist and blocky, but I can't help liking it.

(Does the reflection on the windshield bother anyone?)

The windowshield reflection in the top photo doesn't bother me.

My snarky response to them is that they make me think of golf carts. :p

I'm not sure what it is about the first one that grabs my attention, but it does. The lineup of white/beige, though...

I think part of it is that they just seem... ugly for the sake of being ugly. The Ligier at least has the elegance of simplicity, and a nice blue/grey paint job. ^^;;

Oh, and as I understand it... a big part of why they're so common in Europe/Japan is that there's a separate licensing category for these cars, usually based around engine size, that's cheaper and may not need a full drivers' license.
