Against the Sky

Saturday was a really gloomy day, cloudy and light snow flurries for part of it. So when I went to try and do some shooting, I went downtown to the WWI Museum/Liberty Memorial. And it was grey and cold and windy when I went inside...

...when I came back out, it looked like *this*. :)



Having found such a wonderful turn-around, after taking some photos there, I quickly went the few blocks to try and catch The Scout in such good conditions. What I found when I got there was a bit more interesting; looking one direction, you saw the picture at the top -



- and looking the other way, you got this, a sunlit statue against a grey cloudy sky.

Interesting.

I wouldn't even have guessed those photos came from the same day despite having lived in places where the weather can turn around that quickly! (Ithaca, NY was sort of notorious for temperamental weather.) Very neat.
