Photo of the Day - Saturn I
Feb. 4th, 2015 12:47 pm
The Saturn I, first in the line of Saturn rockets that sent people to the moon. From the U.S. Rocket & Space Center, Marshall Space Center, Huntsville, AL.
Note that this is the smallest of the Saturn rockets. It was only used to launch boilerplate tests of the Command/Service module, along with a couple of research satellites.

So, for scale? See the people at the lower-left.
