Not-so-Tempting Tower

Shawnee Mission Park is the closest 'full' park to where I spent my late childhood; a small lake but with a marina, fishing area, lots of picnic areas and open fields for sports, even a radio-controlled aircraft strip.

And an observation tower. ^^;;

I spent my late grade-school years being scared to go up the tower. Jr. High and High School, I got better and enjoyed climbing to the top and looking out over the park. Lately, I've found myself slipping back into 'twitchy while climbing' mode; it doesn't help that it seems to sway more than I remembered. :(

I'm scareda heights (although I'm okay if there's a railing or something), but that's a great-looking tower.
