Sentimental Favorite

My parents had a '71 Mach One Mustang like this one - white instead of red, but with a red interior - when I was growing up. I loved that car, and even got to drive it once. (Though that was more intimidating than fun. ^^;; ) We finally sold it about the time I went off to college; fuel was getting very hard to find (it needed leaded premium gas), and it just wasn't getting driven much any more. I still miss it.

Heh. Well, the rear seat was vestigial, the seats were vinyl (though at least perforated so they breathed), and you sat pretty low. But there was nothing else out there I remember that had the sweet burble of its engine at idle, or the way it ramped up when you stepped on the gas.
