The Red Tails were one of the more celebrated fighter groups of World War II. They were also a force for integration and a blow against racism. They were the first black fighter squadron, the first to deploy overseas. They were so good at their job that American bomber groups specifically asked for their escort.
They were the Tuskegee Airmen, and one of the great stories of WWII.

Tuskegee Airmen is the Commemorative Air Force's tribute to the Red Tails, a P-51C Mustang flown by a CAF group known as the Red Tail Squadron. Long may she delight audiences in the air.
