This is the Excalibur, one of the most extreme casino designs on the Strip. (About the only one I think that rivals it is the phony skyscrapers of New York, New York; the Luxor is a giant glass pyramid, but it manages to look modernist-tasteful. As long as you avoid the giant sphinx at the entrance, anyway. ^^;;) It was designed and built in the era when Vegas was trying to be 'family-friendly', and looks it. The family-friendly fad passed, and later resorts look a lot less like amusement parks.
