Isn't the only unsuccessful launch they've got, either; they have the capsule from Apollo 13. (Which they restored after it'd sat in France for years, and they used it as a template for the sets in the movie.)
I didn't even see the glass! My one experience with the difficulty of photographing things behind glass was when I visited the museums in Japan. I was using an inexpensive digital camera and couldn't get the hang of it at all. :p
You can see the reflections at lower-left and center-right; there's also the vertical line about 1/3 of the way from left that's the seam between two glass panels.
The Cosmosphere in general is a pretty challenging place to take pictures; lots of glass, and lots of dark settings to highlight the exhibits.
