Things looking up a little. MommaKitty is back from the vet and has notably gained leg strength the last couple of days. Took the dryer top panel apart and was able to isolate the switch that broke; now just have to find a replacement...

I'm so glad to hear the good news about MommaKitty. I momentarily overran your phrasing and thought that she had been the one who took the dryer top panel apart, and I thought, "Well, she must be feeling pretty chipper!"
