Want a bit of space history?

Kennedy Space Center's Pad 39a.

Launch site for Apollo 8, first flight to the moon. Apollo 9. Apollo 11, the first landing on the moon. Apollo 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17. The Skylab space station. And a good number of the Space Shuttle missions.

It's been rented out to SpaceX; SpaceX has torn down the Shuttle-era launch towers and put up its own. My feelings are mixed - launch pads were made to be used, but I hate to see the legacy of the Shuttle era erased like that.
