Being Koi

The conference hotel this year was one of those huge resort hotels with a fully enclosed grotto, which... eh. It made the actual work of the conference worse, because you had a long hike from the rooms to the conference area. And while an enclosed grotto can be impressive in that 'did they really spend all that work on this?' way, I'd rather see real scenery.

Still, the koi pond was kinda cool. :) So were the gators, though I couldn't get a good pic of them.

Didn't look like they wanted to give anyone any trouble, just hang out under the sun lamps and chill.

I do not trust gators. There will be a horrible accident one of these days. XD
