There's something about this one that felt... too on the nose? to me, the kind of shot that's almost a cliche. But out of the group of schoolhouse pics I posted on DPReview, this is the one that got pointed out the most.

The sky. Your sky is always fascinating. Ok, not always, but the sky is something that makes your photos special. What works here are the proportions of the house and grass and the sky. The small irregularities that catch the eye. It's a good test for a photo: just put it in front of your eyes for a few days. If you can see it daily and it wouldn't be boring, or annoying, this is a good work.

Great picture, very dramatic. The war of darkness and lightt. darkness is more profound and versatile. One can see similar skies in central OR. We have to drive far to see it.
