So, there's a touring exhibition called Art of the Brick. It combines re-creations of classic artwork and original artwork, all done in Lego bricks. Some are more successful than others; this is one of the better pieces.

Because the artist adds dimensionality to some of the pics, they can benefit from viewing at an angle:

The exhibit's actually running in Seoul through the first week in March. ^^;; That said, looks like it's not coming any closer to you than Kansas City, though at least it's running here through May 28.

Heh! Cost of living where I do, I guess. Too bad finding parking in New Orleans is a nightmare because I bet I could get an A++ first-class education in live jazz performances!

I've been to one of the jazz clubs down at the 18th and Vine district, with visiting friends; but it was smoky and the acoustics weren't that great - reminds me why I've never been that fond of the club scene. :( I'm sure there were better ones, we just didn't have time to search for them.

One of these days, I do want to visit the Big Easy... just never seems like the right time. :(
