Yes, that is a picture of someone taking a sailboat out on the local lake in early January.
Yes, the temperature did go from about 10 degrees F on Tuesday, to 38 degrees Thursday, to 64 degrees yesterday (Sunday, when the pic was taken).
Yes, those are patches of ice still floating on the surface of the lake.
Yes, the temperature is dropping rapidly today, and we're supposed to get snow this evening.
