According to the signboards around Minor Park, this is supposed to be the trail worn by the wagon wheels going on the Oregon and Santa Fe trails. I'm a bit dubious, since it leads down to the Old Red Bridge, and was probably the remains of the old road - but it's always possible that the road was laid through that 'pre-made' cut through the riverside hills.

Heck, I'll take the romantic option, thanks. Besides, even if that wasn't the exact spot where the trail went through, I can be pretty sure it went through the general vicinity, and it's pretty. :)

It is indeed pretty--I like the contrast of light and dark in the leaves of the trees, and the soft touch of the clouds in the sky. :D
