I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think the problem I had with it at first (and that my friend had with it) is that the surface plot isn't very deep; Joy and Sadness get dumped out into the back reaches of the mind and have to make their way back, having travelogue encounters along the way. The depth came out for me in the way it kept percolating in my thoughts after, and in the emotional journey. (I wonder if it means anything that Disgust was the one who figured out how to weaponize Anger? ^_^)
And yes, that is so very Cat. Although I have to disagree; it's cats all the way UP. Cats are always at the top of any hierarchy. ^_-
