Photo of the day... Expat BBQ!
Jan. 14th, 2015 02:46 pmCouple of photos, actually, from a visit to a friend in Las Vegas a few years ago...

This is Bradley's BBQ, one of the few BBQ restaurants I've found outside of Kansas City that really 'gets' the style. As it turned out, it was founded by a former Kansas City resident... sadly, Bradley's is there no more.
Located in Boulder City, NV, on the road from Vegas to Hoover Dam (which is a lot closer to Vegas than I'd ever known before visiting; only about 20-25 minutes away). Boulder City is an interesting place to drive through; almost like a time capsule of the 50s/60s, as you can see from the sign styles. Reminds me, also, of when we lived in Denver when I was a kid, and the family used to accompany Dad on his business road trips; we got to see a lot of towns like this.

...and a sample of the food. Mmmmm.
(BTW, blame
yhlee for this post, in reference to suggested restaurants. :)
