The Beech Bonanza, released in 1945 (and still being made today, after many changes) is one of the classic civilian airplanes, and this 1947 model is a very early example - note the V-tail, a distinctive feature phased out in later models.
Unfortunately, it's a little the worse for wear...

In 2012, a tornado moved through the area. Most of the planes in the museum got off lightly, but this one was damaged on the wingtip. Part of me wants to see it fixed; another part wants to leave it as-is, as a testament to what the weather can do.
