Consolation Prize

So, late last week, went down to visit my Nashville friend; they're getting ready to move to DC this summer, and I'm not sure how many times I'll be able to visit them down there before they move. So I was hoping to do something with them that's (sort of) locally related - a visit to the Hermitage, or another trip to Huntsville for the Redstone Arsenal/US Space and Rocket Center, something like that - but it didn't happen. (We were all too busy working on renovating the house and getting it ready to rent.)

I did get several nice pictures of flowers in their garden, though!

In unrelated news, had my final class with the diabetes nurse yesterday; I've been doing well enough to cut back to 3 tests/week, instead of 3 tests/day. I also lost 16 lbs since I was diagnosed six weeks ago. :)
