Bang, there's a Mountain

I've said it before... something that gets overlooked a lot from the image of Las Vegas as casinos and the Strip, is its place as a Southwestern desert city. On top of that, there's how... flat so much of the surrounding land is, before you have mountains popping up out of flat land. (In other directions, OTOH, like the canyon area where Hoover Dam was built, the land is very rugged.)
