When it opened in 2014, Verruckt was the tallest waterslide in the world.
In 2016, a 10-year-old was killed when the raft he was riding left the track.
Today, Verruckt sits abandoned, waiting to be demolished.
From the accounts I've read of the accident, it was a horrible thing. In a way, I feel bad even bringing it up. At the same time, I can't help feeling a little sad looking at the way it sits there now, desolate.
