Another Hoover Dam sunrise shot, with an interesting combination of elements - the curve of the dam, the original visitor's center, the canyon wall behind, and the power towers at the top.
Something I never thought about, before my first visit - just how many wires and supporting towers are running around all over the place. There's wires coming up from the generators at the base of the dam, carrying power out of the valley, supported by a rat's nest of girder frameworks:

From there, the wires go up to the towers at the top of the canyon walls, and a Really Heavy Duty transformer station set back from the edge - and from there, on to standard hi-voltage transmission towers.
I'd sure hate to be one of the helicopter pilots on the sightseeing runs! :)
