Winter Caboose

...surprise! Winter had at least one more storm up its sleeve... and I suppose it being both Easter and 'April Fools!' was appropriate in this case. *wry grin*

Driving from Des Moines back to Kansas City... after a cloudy grey day, the sun came out about an hour before I left. Stayed sunny to the Iowa/Missouri border and past, even if there were some flurries around the state line. :) Stopped at Pattonsburg (where I shot the Sunset Bell) and got this pic. Was planning on stopping at the park where I'd shot the eclipse...

...only to have the sky go grey and the roads go slushy before I got to the exit. :p Wasn't likely to be anything worth seeing, and I sure as heck didn't want to drive over narrow park roads when even the interstate was slushy enough to make me twitchy.

Not doing bad; it's weather that would have been normal a few weeks ago. Just not what you might be expecting after the warmer weather we've had recently. :)

As beautiful as this is, I'm totally sick of snow. I give spring one more week, and then I'm going to drag it here myself! ;)
