The Scout

The Scout is one of those iconic Kansas City landmarks that everyone takes a picture of, so I suppose I should do the same...



This is one of the classic views, showing its lookout over the city...



...while this gives a better view of the statue itself.

Yesterday wasn't the best day for taking outdoor photos, but these turned out... OK, I suppose.

Neat statue! But yeah, I'd love to see it again with a more dramatic sky, which of course is something you can't control. I like the angle in the first one, although the detail in the second is well-captured--just the right balance between the shiny highlights and the shadows on the statue.
